Epidemiologic Convergence of Individual Behavior as Dipole Moments: Harmonic Optimization of Brokenness with Peace Between Finiteness and Infinity

by
Dallas F. Bell, Jr.

(The degree of parallelism of the data presented will be synthesized by the reader based on the proximity to brokenness.)

Pagans tremble at the rustling of a leaf.1 Martin Luther

Epidemiology2 is defined as the study of the distribution and determinants of health-related states and events in populations, and the application of this study to the control of health problems. Epidemiologic cases3 may include the convergence of foodborne salmonella episodes in the Caribbean or waterborne typhoid incidences in Tajikistan.

Geometric convergence4 in computational chemistry5 uses convergence as a function of basis set and the amount of correlation.

A diagram of correlation, exact result, and basis set

It is two-dimensional where the larger the expansion of basis set and the expansion of the determinants the better the result.6 The response of the energy to the presence of a stimuli, where the stimuli strength is vanishingly small, is a dipole moment.7

In 1951, Edward Simpson drew attention to a simple fact about fractions that has a wide variety of surprising applications called Simpson’s paradox.8 This is a phenomenon in probability and statistics in which a trend appears in several different groups of data but disappears or reverses when these groups are combined. It is particularly problematic when frequency data is unduly given causal interpretations. For example, analyzing the batting averages of two baseball players. One player may have a higher batting average than another player each year for a number of years, but ultimately have a lower batting average across all of those years due to the differences in time at bats.

David Hume9 questioned if finite man had the ability to even see causes and their effects, such as with rain being the cause of the effect of grass becoming wet. Of course the definition of a cause is the bringing about of an effect and an effect therefore following an antecedent. An effect is defined as being the result of a cause.

Peace is the harmonic optimization10 of the brokenness cycle that resulted from the original sin. The epidemic of brokenness is inevitable from life circumstances seriatim11 or by freewill as a daily condition of life to submission with infinite God. Surveillance12 of the convergence of issues is in incident rates and prevalence. Incidences are the number of new issues that occur during a specific period of time in a population at risk for that issue (e.g. widespread economic hardship etc.).13 Prevalence is the number of people present afflicted in the population at that specific time.14

The difference between incidence and prevalence is prevalence is a snapshot of the population at a point in time of those people with the issue and those people not afflicted with the issue without regard to when the issue developed. Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Epidemiology and professor of epidemiology and medicine at Johns Hopkins University, Moyses Szklo expressed in an email exchange with Dallas F. Bell Jr. in July, 2019, that surveillance usually deals with outcomes such as cancer and infectious diseases. When there is a major event that results in important emotional problems, these data are correlated with the event (for example, by examining pre-post rates).15

American psychologists are using the term of eco-anxiety. It refers to stress caused by the predictable failure of hyper-vigilant attempts to narcissistically (see endnote 22) change perceived ecological problems, such as real or contrived environmental threats and actual disasters given real or contrived reasons for their incidence and prevalence. The self-generated symptoms include panic attacks, loss of appetite, weakness, nausea, sleeplessness, etc. A 2019 CNN poll indicates 82 percent of American Democrat voters and 14 percent of Republican voters consider the environmental issue of the historical changing climate as their top issue.16 Worldwide, government-centric societies encourage youth support for their environmental doctrine.17 It was written (c. 58-63 A.D.) that men’s hearts would fail them for fear of things coming on the earth18 before they see the Son of Man, Jesus, coming in a cloud.19

Philosophy professor at the University of Glasgow, Michael Brady wrote (2019) that grief when a loved one dies or anguish from shattered dreams cause reflection and may incline the subsequent view that suffering can be good. He reasons that suffering is not just a negative emotion but is necessary for developing wisdom.20 In his 2018 book, Brady explained why suffering is vital for the development of virtue.21

It is a given that the well-being of humans for decision making largely determines the success or failure of enterprises. For example, the psycho-social policy planning for hypothetical space settlements22 should adequately address such things as thresholds for incident and prevalence rates in epidemiologic surveillance of expected emotional issues (e.g. deaths, etc.) and expected biological issues (e.g. the rapid rate of bacterial grow and mutation on/in genital regions in low gravity environments, etc.). Additionally, prior suffering experience of its participants should be considered vital for the potential development of needed wisdom and virtue?23 Wisdom is the recognition and implementation of truth with the preeminent virtues of love and justice (see endnote 49).

The sacrifices of God [are] a broken24 spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.25 He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.26 Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit.27

Paul said he was a servant (Greek doulos meaning a slave in qualified subjection) of Christ28 and died daily with the promise of a resurrection.29 Jesus asked if you call Him Lord (Greek kurios meaning the supreme authority),30 why do you not do what He said? Jesus was God (the 2nd Person of the trinity of Elohim) but His material neurobiology required Him to pray to Father God31 (the 1st Person of the trinity of Elohim) and to be filled with the Holy Spirit (the 3rd Person of the trinity of Elohim). That Spirit had power to give Jesus the ability to preach the gospel to the poor and heal the brokenhearted.32 He modeled the bio-human need to also be constantly filled with the Holy Spirit.33 At the point of redemption, believers are permanently baptized with the Holy Spirit.34

The Apostle Paul said he spoke as a fool.35 To be led by the Holy Spirit is to daily accept ones finite place as a 'holy fool'36 and in time the act by faith will bear Divine fruit, i.e. order and peace etc.37  Also to not be led by the Holy Spirit will bear the anti-Christ fruit of disorder and confusion, God is clearly not the author of that. This calls for proper introspection.38

That healthy self-examination39 uses Scripture40 and is necessary to prove one’s justification allowing for the achievement of the potential state for peace.41 Paul learned that in whatever state he was in to be content.42 He knew how to be abased and to abound, and how to be full and to be hungry.43 Godliness with contentment is great gain.44

God will keep the person in perfect peace whose mind is fixed on Him,45 because he trusts in Him. Jesus taught people to generally pray to God (KJV, Matt. 6:9-13) as follows.

v.9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
v.10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
v.11 Give us this day our daily bread.
v.12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
v.13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.46

Jesus maintained the pattern of having an eternal perspective in regards to the four eternal and connected (stated and implied) truth variables of prayer: the object of prayer, the action, the space, and the time frame. David modeled this example (see endnote 46). This and all specific combination of variables has always existed and is kinetically activated by intellect. Solomon said there is nothing new under the sun.47

The materialistic and therefore dimensionally incomplete E = mc2 equation48 can be compared to the following equation: the truth mesh of an intellect’s kinetic energy (with the stated or implied righteous intent [to be loving (merciful + graceful) and to be just (forgiving + redemptive)] or counterfeiting unrighteous intent [to be unloving (merciless + graceless) and to be unjust (unforgiving + unredemptive)])49 = the object + the action + the space + the time frame (with the specific sensed modifiers of color, temperature, texture, shapes, taste, olfactory and auditory input etc.). A well-known example of the binary (1, 0) outcomes (1 = max efficiency of expended energy and 0 = null efficiency of expended energy) is the contest on Mount Carmel of Elijah representing the (1) righteous model50 and the idolatrous prophets of Baal representing the (0) unrighteous model.51

Examining one’s own thought process and sensory experience is not to be self-centered.52 Neither is it to become pessimistic. That belief wrongly accepts reality as essentially evil. This doctrine is more than merely accepting the difficulties of entropy for reality (e.g. health issues etc.). It is not seeing reality with the eternal view of God’s ultimate perspective of quantum goodness. It rejects harmonic optimization from brokenness and its peace from the understanding of how finiteness fits within infinity through justification by God’s grace53-- fides viva.54

The logic failure to not comprehend time by factoring in eternity is epidemic. Dietrich Dörner55 wrote (1996) Die Logik des Mißlingens. Strategisches Denken in komplexen Situationen (The Logic of Failure: Recognizing and Avoiding Error in Complex Situations). In chapter 5 pages 107-152, time sequences are addressed. As humans live in tangible space and time, time is configured linearly and may cause confusion unless analyzed in retrospect. The incompleteness of spatial patterns, such as a parking lot, are easy to recognize and to complete based on symmetry (asymmetry), repetition, etc. But in time configurations, there is a tendency to treat temporal development as individual events when they are interlocked.

Chakra is an old Sanskrit word that literally translates to wheel. In the polytheistic (pagan) traditions of Hinduism, chakra is used to denote any phenomenon which has a cyclical or circular motion or aspect, such as it is used to describe the wheel of time (kala chakra), the wheel of life (jivana chakra), and the wheel of creation (srishti chakra).

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing56 for a time as witnessed by the discovery of oil for energy. China is recorded to have used petroleum as fuel (c. 400 A.D.). Prior to that era, Iraq used oil as asphalt to waterproof baths and boats. Much earlier (c. 2285 B.C.), Noah used pitch from tree resin, distilled from heating wood, to waterproof the ark (Gen. 6:14). After the flood, bitumen pits and tar pits were known (Gen. 14:10) to be in the Valley of Siddim (c. 1911 B.C.). The energy of the sun and carbon dioxide was captured in photosynthesis. With human intellect, energy from the combustion of fossil fuels, which had no greater purpose, releases the carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Thereby, the carbon cycle is completed,57 (T) C The cycle symbol = ∑.

It was predicted nearly 2,000 years ago (c. 64 A.D.) that in the last days scoffers would mock Jesus’ promised return58 and deny there was ever a world flood.59 Finite man’s imagination is evil from his youth.60 Imagination is the process of creating objects or events without the reality of sensory data, such as idols.61 John Keats’ Ode to Psyche is an example of confused62 idolatrous fantasy. Fantasy is the process of mentally imaging unreal objects and events to avoid or supersede reality.63

Omniscient God does not have imagination and He scatters the proud in the imaginations of their hearts.64 Imagination is not a positive option for brokenness and is not to be confused with creativity or visualization. Intellects have creativity to produce solutions to problems as conceptual extensions of mental capability, such as the skilled and cunning builders of the ancient Jewish Temple.65 Visualization is the process of both thinking (the analytical processing of real neurological data input) and using memory of real objects and events from the senses, especially from seeing, to create concrete ideas (ideas based on reality). For example, Descartes’ analytical geometry combined equations and shapes, where algebra loops and bends.

If one loves God he will love his neighbor as his own self.66 That Golden Rule67 formula is, I do you do,68 meaning, my rights your rights. In the mid-twentieth century, The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on affirmative action intentionally ending merit based considerations and voiding the Golden Rule for heterosexual white males equal rights under the law, my rights ≠ your rights. This created I do ≠ you do.

The ancestors of the twelve descendants of Ishmael69 generally live together in the Middle East. They are wild and their hand is against every man and vice versa70 due to their violations of quantum justice.71 Simul Justus et Peccator is a Latin justice formula by Martin Luther translated as Simultaneously Saint and Sinner (eternal saint finite sinner + infinite grace). We are saints not because we changed into something different but because our relationship affinity72 with God changed as a result of God’s imputed infinite grace by faith alone, as opposed to the Roman Catholic heresy of infused justification by man’s finite works (eternal saint ≠ finite sinner + finite works – infinite grace).

The eyes of the Lord are on the justified righteous and His ears are open to their cry.73 The righteous are to expect fiery trials and not think it is something strange happening to them.74 Brokenness is the common subdued reaction of an individual to inevitable cyclical real life situations of vanquishing stress. Sorrow of the repentant heart breaks the spirit.75 God has mercy by not always allowing for sorrow to be added to sorrow.76

Judas Iscariot and Peter each were taught the same things by Jesus for the same amount of time. Yet the crushing sorrowful guilt from the aftermath of betraying Him caused the remorseful Judas to murder himself and Peter to repent.77 The difference was Judas choice to hate Jesus,78 demonstrated by his hypocritical kiss and command to hold Jesus fast, resulting in his going to his own place in eternal hell79 and Peter’s choice to love Jesus,80 demonstrated by his weeping bitterly, resulting in his going to be with Jesus the Christ in eternal heaven.81 An eternal perspective of material circumstances includes knowing that there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents.82

God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. Paul’s path of brokenness included beatings and being shipwrecked83 as recorded c. 54-55 A.D. He began his journey by saying he was the least of the apostles (c. 54 A.D.)84 Then, he said he was the least of the saints (c. 60-62 A.D.).85 Just before his execution, he finally exclaimed that he was the chief of sinners (c. 62-68 A.D.).86 Pleasure may be taken in infirmities and distresses for Christ’s sake.87 “For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”88

We are to not be overcome by evil but are to overcome evil with good.89 The grandson of Aaron the priest, Phinehas executed God’s judgment on idolaters by killing them (c. 1235 B.C.). This stopped God’s plague and was counted as righteousness.90 David, a man after God’s own heart, killed a lion, a bear, and then Goliath who defied God’s army and blasphemed God.91 God was glorified by his fighting evil and killing the blasphemer (c. 1015 B.C.). Even though his family accused him of being prideful and government leadership forgot him, the people praised God for that victory.92

David’s messianic and imprecatory93 psalm94 stated that he was weary of crying and prayed that people not be ashamed for his sake and people seeking God not be confounded for his sake. David acknowledged that he would have fainted unless he had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. He urged us to wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He will strengthen our hearts!95

The response of our energy to the stimuli of sorrow decreases in dipole moments. The epidemiologic convergence of individual behavior can have harmonic optimization of brokenness with peace between finiteness and infinity. Our souls should bless the Lord and not forget His benefits. He forgives iniquities and heals diseases. Youth is renewed like the eagle’s. He executes righteousness and judgment for the oppressed. He is slow to anger and pities His children. He remembers we are dust. We flourish as grass and flowers in a field. The wind passes over and we are gone.96 We are to not think on tomorrow because today has sufficient evil. Our heavenly Father knows what we need. If we first seek His kingdom and His righteousness, all things within His will will be added to us!97

I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I’m not enough
Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up
Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low?
Remind me once again just who I am, because I need to know

You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, You say I am Yours
And I believe, I believe
What You say of me
I believe

The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me
In You I find my worth, in You I find my identity

You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, You say I am Yours
And I believe, I believe
What You say of me
I believe

Taking all I have and now I'm laying it at Your feet
You have every failure, God
You'll have every victory

You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, You say I am Yours
And I believe, I believe
What You say of me
I believe

Oh, I believe
Yes, I believe
What You say of me
Oh, I believe

In line with a 2017 Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation poll, a 2019 Harris poll now shows over half of American Millennial (aka Gen Y) and Gen Z demographics (also vote Democrat) indicate a narcissistic preference for communist fascist governments over capitalist societies with free enterprise. If consistent, this should influence their space settlement support for atheist government dominated efforts over private efforts or even a hybrid of efforts.

During an email exchange with Dallas F. 37 The Divine result of a Spirit led act is not like a stopped clock being right twice a day due to the juxtaposition of time to position or a blind squirrel finding an acorn by purposeless accident. It is the purposed outcome intended by God.

38 David related his experience in Psalm 32 (KJV) below.

v.1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

v.2 Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

v.3 When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

v.4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

v.5 I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

v.6 For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

v.7 Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

v.8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

v.9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

v.10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.

v.11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

v.10 Wherefore David blessed the Lord before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, Lord God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.

v.11 Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.

v.12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

v.13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

48 The mass (m) of a body times the speed of light squared (c2) is equal to the kinetic energy (E) of that body. This primitive understanding of variables must be expanded beyond materialistic dimensions of known knowns if the finite limit of known unknowns to potential higher concepts, short of infinite unknowable unknowns to finite intellects, are to be realized. Beyond a righteous desire to finitely know more of God’s creative methods for His glory, some unrighteous people harbor the idolatrous hope, for example theories such as for superstrings, to infinitely explain all matter and forces in one mathematical libation.

58 Jesus’ kingdom began with His coming to earth as a human baby. His kingdom power (Matt. 16:27-28) was seen in His transfiguration (Greek metemorphōthē, Christ’s fulfillment of the law is represented by Moses and the prophets are represented by Elijah, Matt. 17:2-3; Mark 9:2-4, additionally Moses represents those that have died Deut. 34:5-6 and Elijah those who have not experience death II Kings 2:11 and will be called up in the air on Christ’s return I Thess. 4:13-17), His resurrection (Ps. 16:10, 49:15; John 20-21; I Cor. 15:4), and His ascension (Ps. 68:18; Mark 16:19; Luke 24:51; Acts 1:9-11; Eph. 4:8-10). The last phase begins with His return (I Thess. 4:13-18).

Note: Elijah was prophesied to come before God’s day of judgment (Mal. 4:5-6). If figuratively, then John the Baptist (the prophesied voice of one crying in the wilderness Is. 40:3-5; Matt. 3:3; Mark 1:3; Luke 3:4; John 1:23 preparing the way for the Messiah Mal. 3:1) came in the spirit/power of Elijah (Matt. 11:14; Luke 1:17), yet was not actually Elijah (John 1:21-25). Jesus asserted that Elijah had come as John the Baptist (Matt. 17:10-13; Mark 9:11-13). On some level John the Baptist did fulfill prophesy. But subsequent to the transfiguration Jesus spoke of Elijah’s coming as a future event (Matt. 17:11) even though He asserted Elijah had come. It is reasoned that the Elijah prophesy will have a second fulfillment as being possibly one of the two prophesied witnesses in the last days (Rev. 11).

59 II Peter 3:3-6. The Lost World of the Flood: Mythology, Theology, and the Deluge Debate by Tremper Longman III (professor at Westmont College), John H. Walton (professor at Wheaton College), with a contribution by Stephen O. Moshier (professor at Wheaton College) was published by InterVarsity Press (2018). It makes the argument for why Genesis portrays what the biblically described empaiktés (Greek for deriders, false teachers, mockers and scoffers) proselytize was a local cataclysmic flood as a global flood by considering both Ancient Near East backgrounds and the theological purpose of the (implied Moses’ intentionally false) narrative. Christianity Today also promoted the book. As the world becomes increasingly dominated by the wicked, as was the case during Noah’s time (Gen. 6), the redeemed are to do God’s will for their lives (Gen. 6:8-9) as they look for Jesus’s return (Greek the Parousia for presence/coming of the King, Matt. 24:36-44) and His eternally destroying the enemies of His kingdom (Ps. 37:20, 68:21, 92:9; James 4:4). God’s enemies reject Him and the very knowledge of His ways. Eternal hell is the necessary final limit on their wickedness (Job 21:14; Ps. 9:15-17; Rom. 1:21, 28; Rev. 21:8). The redeemed’s increased awareness (especially those with high innate problem-solving ability or IQ’s) from natural ageing will increase the potential for experiencing suffering during this period of exponential heresy. The older and the higher the intellect (Eccl. 1:18) the more scriptural/spiritual tools are needed to cope with suffering (Eph. 6:10-18).
