POLLING General polling with a +3% or -3% error rate is not difficult to achieve. The demographics of a region are evenly represented on an average page of the residential phone book. Take a page at random and phone each name between the hours 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM on a (nonholiday) weekday. Politely ask a simple unbiased question and tally the resultant responses. |
